Sunday Suds

Girls Soccer gave it their all.

On a bright, sunny Sunday afternoon when they could have been swimming at the beach or relaxing near a campsite, our St. Thomas Aquinas athletes chose to do what they do so well- act like Saints.  And while washing other people’s cars may not have been high on their wish list, they did so with demonstrated teamwork and Saints Pride.

The STA Charity Car Wash combined our school mission with the Church’s greater mission to be the hands and feet of Christ to others. Divided by team, our student-athletes spanned across the Seacoast at different church parking lots and set up shop. With buckets, sponges and plenty of positivity, our young men and women raised over $2,000 for local charities. A few hours of simple service gave a much appreciated boost to Seacoast Family Promise, End 68 Hours of Hunger, St. Charles Children’s Home, St. Vincent de Paul and Cross Roads House- all non-profit organizations that care for our community’s most vulnerable.

Thank you, STA Athletes, for pressing the pause button on your busy lives to witness Christ to others through your selfless actions. You are our best source of pride.
